The Vale do Pati is Brazil's most famous trek, offering complete immersion in the nature of Chapada Diamantina. With 3 or 5 days of hiking, you can explore waterfalls, rivers, lookouts and historic villages, experience the local culture and stay in local residents' homes.

The itinerary, day by day
Day 1: Pati Lookout and Gerais do Rio Preto

Departure from Lençóis at 6:00 for Guiné, where we start the trek. Hike through the Gerais do Rio Preto, with a river crossing and a swim, followed by the Pati Lookout. After the picnic, we head to a local residents' home for dinner and the night.

Day 2: Morro do Castelo, Lapinha Cave and Funil Waterfall

After breakfast, we'll climb Morro do Castelo to the Lapinha Cave. We'll cross the cave with flashlights and reach the lookout, with a spectacular view of the Vale do Pati. Return to the local residents' home for dinner and the night.

Day 3: Cachoeirão from Above and Return to Lençóis
After breakfast, we'll head to Cachoeirão from Above, one of the most impressive landscapes in the Vale do Pati, about 280 meters high. After the hike, we'll return to the vehicle and drive to Lençóis.

What's included
The trek requires good fitness, with uphill and downhill stretches, sun exposure, uneven terrain and long hours of walking. Along the way, you carry a backpack with your personal belongings.
